Airbag warning light constantly illuminated
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes X Klasse diesel has an airbag warning light that remains illuminated, raising concerns about safety and potential airbag deployment issues. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection within the restraint system. It is suggested to check for loose connections, particularly under the passenger seat, and to consult a workshop for a thorough inspection and repair to ensure vehicle safety.

Thanks for the quick reply! Which cables exactly did you check? Is there anything specific I should look for besides loose connections?

It was a while ago, but yeah, passenger seat first. I just wiggled them a bit. But to be safe, you should probably take it to a workshop to make sure everything is ok with the car safety.

I appreciate the advice! I'll check those connections and then get it to a workshop. They quoted me 95€ for the airbag repair, hopefully it's just that defective cable.

Hey, I had the same problem with my old Fiat. Turned out to be a loose connection under the passenger seat. Did you check all the cables you could see?
