Airbag Warning Light Rollover Sensor
Summary of the thread
The main issue discussed is an airbag warning light on a 2012 Renault Wind, with an error indicating a problem with the rollover sensor. A possible cause mentioned is a faulty SRS sensor, which is linked to the rollover system. The suggested solution is to have a qualified mechanic diagnose and confirm if the control unit is defective, as vehicle safety should not be compromised.

Seriously? An SRS sensor? Was it expensive? And did it show the same error codes? Just trying to prepare for the cost.

Yes, it was the SRS sensor. If I remember correctly, the repair was around 1000€. It’s best to have a qualified mechanic diagnose it and confirm the control unit is defective. Vehicle safety is not something to risk.

Okay, thanks! Sounds like a workshop visit is coming, and my wallet will be lighter. At least I have a better idea of what to expect.

Interesting. I had a similar airbag light issue in my Renault Wind – though I can't remember the exact year. The garage said it was a faulty SRS sensor, which I think is linked to the rollover system. Maybe it's the same thing.
