Checked them how, exactly? I'm no mechanic! Is it something I can do myself with basic tools, or am I looking at a proper job?

Unless you're confident with electrics, leave it to the pros. I tried messing with mine, and it ended up costing me more. Get it checked out by a workshop.

Got it sorted. It WAS the glow plugs, all four kaput. Cost me 440€, but at least it's running sweet now! Thanks for the nudge!

I had something similar with my Albea. Is it struggling to start, especially when it's cold? Could be duff glow plugs. Have you checked them?
