Allion immobilizer problem

I'm having an immobilizer problem with my 2021 Toyota Allion with a gasoline engine, currently at 96,720 kilometers. The engine won't start, or starts briefly then dies. Diagnostic analysis suggests a key programming anomaly. Has anyone seen this before, and what did you do?

Whoa, immobilizer issues are a headache! I had something kinda similar happen with my old Corolla. Engine would crank but not fire up. Does your Allion have remote start? I remember back then, the shop told me sometimes aftermarket car electronics can mess with the immobilizer system. Have you checked for any add-ons that might be causing interference?

Yes, my Allion has remote start. Can you explain the interference you're talking about? What parts of the remote start system are most likely to conflict with the immobilizer, and how would I check if that's the problem?

Okay, so with my Corolla, the installer didn't properly isolate the remote start module from the factory immobilizer wiring. It was like they were fighting each other for control. Honestly, with immobilizer fault codes showing up, and especially since you mention key programming being suspect, I'd strongly suggest taking it to a reputable workshop. They have the tools to properly diagnose and reprogram the key if needed. It's too easy to brick something trying to bypass the immobilizer yourself.

I took it to a technician, and it was a faulty key programming. Reprogramming the key cost 45€.
