Allion oxygen sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Toyota Allion owner experienced a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, with error codes suggesting an aged oxygen sensor. The issue could stem from a defective cable or plug connection affecting the sensor's performance. A workshop visit confirmed the aged sensor and a faulty connector, which were replaced, resolving the problem.

Yeah, the air-fuel ratio does feel a bit off. It has 96885 km on it. Is the oxygen sensor the only possible explanation for this or could it be something else?

With those symptoms and mileage, plus the stored error, a faulty exhaust sensor is highly probable. The cable or plug connection is a common failure point. Considering all this, I think it's workshop time. They'll pinpoint it for sure. It will probably cost you around 95€.

Thanks. I appreciate the info. You were right, the workshop confirmed the aged oxygen sensor and replaced the defective connector. Now, everything is working as expected.

Hey! That sounds like a classic O2 sensor issue. Has the air-fuel ratio felt off too? A bad connection could definitely be the culprit, messing with the readings. How many kilometers are on it?
