Allion power window failure

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2008 Toyota Allion with a gasoline engine. The power windows suddenly stopped working after I replaced the vehicle battery. Now none of the windows can be operated, and I'm getting an error stored in the error memory which seems to point towards an unsuccessful window regulator initialization. I've checked the fuses, and they all seem fine. Could this really be caused by just swapping the battery? Any ideas before I start tearing apart the door panels?

I had a similar problem with my Toyota, an older Avensis. Windows suddenly stopped working after some electrical work. I'm not sure what exactly fixed it, but did you try any kind of reset procedure?

Thanks for the reply! What kind of reset procedure are you talking about? Is there something specific for the windows that I should be trying?

I can't remember exactly. I think they had to use a diagnostic tool. In the end, it was the workshop that solved the issue. It could be the same in your case. It sounds like some kind of electronic issue.

Thanks! Sounds like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. Just got a quote for around 290€, which is a bummer, but at least I know what I'm dealing with now. I appreciate the help!
