Allion radio reception issue

Hi, I have a 2019 Toyota Allion with a gasoline engine. My radio reception is terrible. The infotainment system keeps showing an error message, the audio system sometimes cuts out completely, and the car's error memory has stored some kind of fault related to it. Anyone else had this issue?

Sounds familiar. I had similar problems with my Allion. Have you checked the antenna connection? It might be loose or corroded. It's like when your TV aerial isn't quite plugged in right - fuzzy picture.

Thanks, that's a good idea. Where exactly is the antenna connection located? I want to check it before taking it to a shop.

It's usually near the base of the antenna, often under the headliner or accessible from the trunk. But honestly, based on the symptoms, it's likely the antenna itself is defective. Similar to a lightbulb burning out, antennas can simply fail. A workshop will be able to confirm quickly. Mine ended up costing 255€ to fix.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the shop, and you were right, the antenna was defective. Replaced it, and the radio is working perfectly again. Appreciate the help!
