Allion rough idle and stalling

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2006 Toyota Allion with a gasoline engine. The check engine light keeps coming on, and the engine is running really rough, especially when idling. Sometimes it even stalls. Plus, there's jerking when I accelerate. The error code points to a defective fuel pressure sensor. I've checked the sensor itself and it seems okay, so I'm wondering if it could be a cable or plug connection issue. The car only has 34285 km on it. Any thoughts?

Hey there! I also have a Toyota Allion, though I'm not sure about the year right now. I remember something similar happening to me a while back. The check engine light was on, and it felt like the engine was misfiring, especially at lower speeds. What's the fuel economy like? Is it much worse than normal?

Thanks for the quick reply! The fuel economy does seem to be a bit worse than usual, yeah. How did you figure out what the problem was, and how did you solve it? Was it also the fuel pressure sensor?

Okay, so my issue was similar, but I didn't try to solve the problem myself, sorry. I took it to a workshop, and they found a loose connection to the fuel pressure sensor. They cleaned the contacts and secured the plug properly. It fixed the problem completely. Considering our symptoms are so similar, I would take it to a workshop right away. It's possible it is a small fix.

Thanks a lot for the advice! It sounds like that could very well be the issue. I took it to the shop as you suggested, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor, just like you said! They fixed it for 95€ and now the car runs like new. I really appreciate your help!
