Thanks! Yes, it's an automatic. I did check the transmission fluid level, and it seems to be okay. You mentioned your Opel Astra had a similar issue – did you ever figure out exactly what was wrong with it?

Yeah, eventually! After pulling my hair out for weeks, I took it to a workshop, and they told me the transmission control module was fried. It cost me a fortune to replace, but at least it fixed the problem. With all those symptoms you're having, especially the emergency mode and error codes, it really sounds like it could be the control unit. I'd say get it checked by a professional ASAP!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I appreciate the insight. I suspected it might be the control unit, and your story confirms my fears. I took it to my local shop, and you were right. They confirmed the transmission control unit is defective. The repair cost will be around 1000€. I'll get it repaired.

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had something kinda similar happen with my old Opel Astra, but it wasn't quite as bad. My Astra was jerking when shifting gears, and the check engine light was on. Did you try checking the transmission fluid level? That's what I did first, but it didn't really fix anything, haha. Is yours an automatic?
