Almera Temperature Sensor Error

Thanks for the insight! I haven't specifically checked the wiring harness and connectors yet. Which sensor was it on your Insignia, and was it difficult to access? I'm trying to get a better understanding before I dive in too deep. Was it linked to the engine cooling directly?

In my case, the defective sensor was indeed linked to the engine cooling system, more specifically the one near the thermostat housing. Given the symptoms you're describing on your Almera, especially the AC malfunction, I'd strongly advise against attempting a DIY repair unless you're very comfortable with automotive electrical systems. A defective air conditioning control unit can cause more severe issues. Based on your description, it might be best to take it to a reputable workshop for diagnosis. I ended up paying around 850€ for the repair back then.

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I think you're right. I'll take it to the workshop tomorrow. They quoted me around 980€ which seems in line with what you paid. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!

Interesting issue. I had something similar happen with my 2016 Opel Insignia, although the specific error codes were different. My symptoms included the AC not working and some weird engine temperature readings. It turned out to be a faulty sensor impacting the entire cooling system management. Have you checked the wiring harness and connectors leading to the temperature sensor? A loose connection or corroded pin can cause erratic readings and trigger those errors.
