Alphard air suspension fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Toyota Alphard hybrid is experiencing air suspension issues, sitting low and leaning, with an error message and low beam problems. The fault was identified as a potential issue with the suspension compressor, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug. A similar case revealed that a damaged cable led to compressor issues, suggesting professional inspection for safety. The problem was resolved by cleaning a dodgy connector, restoring functionality.

No unusual noises that I specifically remember, but honestly, the kids are usually screaming in the back, so who knows! Was the defective cable/plug the definite root cause in your specific scenario? That sounds almost too easy...

In my case, the cable turned out to be damaged, but there was consequential damage to the compressor from it running without proper power. The workshop was of the opinion, that it is definitely worth getting it checked by professionals, even with some electrical know-how. Safety first and all that. So yes, while I also had this issue, it is still a problem that should be treated carefully. Hope that helps a bit!

Appreciate the insight! Dropped it at the shop, and you called it – dodgy connector and a slightly unhappy compressor. They cleaned the connector and everything works as intended. 95€!

I had a similar issue with my Alphard's air suspension. What you're describing mirrors my experience almost exactly. The symptoms, the error messages... it all rings a bell. Did you happen to notice any unusual noises coming from the suspension pump area before it failed completely?
