Alphard Hybrid Engine Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Toyota Alphard hybrid is experiencing issues with the check engine light, engine stalling when idling, and reduced power. The air filter and spark plugs have been checked without resolving the problem. A potential cause could be a defective high-pressure fuel pump leading to a failing fuel volume regulator. It is suggested to visit a workshop to confirm and address these components as the likely source of the issues.

Yes! Fuel efficiency is terrible. It used to be great. What ended up being the fix for your Alphard? Was it definitely the high pressure pump? How much did it cost?

Yeah, the high pressure pump was defective in my case too, which led to the fuel volume regulator failing. I'd take it to a reputable workshop to confirm, but that sounds like the likely culprit. Cost me 1510€ to get it sorted.

Thanks for the info! I'll take it to a workshop and mention the high pressure pump and fuel volume regulator. Hopefully, it's a straightforward fix. Fingers crossed!

I had similar issues with my Alphard. Check engine light, rough idling, and power loss sound familiar. It might be related to the high pressure fuel pump. Is the fuel efficiency also worse than usual?
