I did give the fuse box a once-over, but maybe I missed something. When you say 'fan motor itself,' are you talking about the fan clutch? Any chance you remember what exactly was wrong with yours? Every little detail helps!

Nah, I meant the electric fan. It turned out to be a dodgy connection, likely a defective cable or plug. It was a pain to track down, but the workshop did it in the end. Honestly, for peace of mind, I'd suggest getting it checked professionally before you fry something important.

A defective cable or plug connection, huh? I'll check the connections. If not, I'm bringing her in. It was the connector indeed. A little bit of contact spray and a new connector did the trick. 95€, a reasonable price to pay to dodge a meltdown.

I had a similar scare with my Alphard. Overheating is never fun. Have you checked the fan motor itself? Is it spinning freely? Maybe it's just a fuse?
