Altima brake fluid dropping

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2004 Nissan Altima, gasoline engine. The brake fluid level keeps dropping, and I'm getting some strange feedback from the brake pedal. Car has only 41300 km on it. Could it be the master cylinder going bad?

I had something similar happen on my Altima. Check your brake pads and rotors first. Low fluid is often just a sign the pads are worn down and the calipers are extended further.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. Did you notice any difference in braking performance or just the low fluid light?

Yeah, the light came on, and stopping distances increased. I'd definitely get your brakes inspected. It could be something else, but worn brakes are the most likely culprit. I ended up just taking it to a workshop.

Thanks! I had my brakes checked, and you were spot on. The front pads were completely shot. Ended up costing me 480€ for new pads and rotors. Appreciate the help!
