Altima cruise control malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Nissan Altima's cruise control system stopped working, with an error stored in the system. Initial checks of fuses showed no issues. Possible causes suggested included loose connections at the steering wheel controls or a malfunctioning throttle position sensor. The problem was ultimately identified as a defective cable connection, which was resolved at a workshop.

Thanks for the tips! Where exactly should I be looking for the steering wheel control connection? And how would I even check the throttle position sensor? Is that a multimeter job?

Yeah, the steering wheel connection is behind the airbag, which I definitely wouldn't recommend messing with if you're not comfortable. As for the throttle position sensor, it could be a multimeter job, but honestly, with an error already stored, and that kind of mileage, I'd lean towards a faulty cable or plug connection of the component. It sounds like a visit to the workshop is due, it should only be a small problem.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop and you were spot on. Turns out it was a defective cable connection. Cost me 95€ to fix. Appreciate the help!

Hmm, that's a weird one. I had a similar issue with my old Sentra. Have you checked the connection at the steering wheel controls? Sometimes those connectors can get loose. Also, any chance the throttle position sensor is acting up? That can sometimes throw off the cruise control system.
