Altima Hands-Free Microphone Failure

Hey, I've got a weird problem with my 2017 Nissan Altima, gasoline engine. The hands-free microphone seems to have died. Basically, telephony is no longer possible. I scanned the car, and there's an error stored in the error memory related to the audio system. Anyone else run into this?

That's a bummer! I've not had that exact problem, but Bluetooth issues can be tricky. Does the voice recognition also not work? Maybe it's a simple audio input setting?

Good point! I didn't think about the voice recognition. I'll check that. Where would I find the audio input settings, in the infotainment system menus?

Yeah, if the voice recognition is also dead, it's almost certainly something more than just a setting. Sadly it sounds like the infotainment system is defective. I would suggest bringing it to a workshop. Hopefully, they can fix it without replacing the whole unit.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and they confirmed it was the infotainment system. Repair cost was 815€. Now the hands-free microphone works again!
