Altima Washer Fluid Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Nissan Altima was experiencing a persistent 'washer fluid low' warning on the dashboard, despite the reservoir being full, and the windshield washer system was not functioning. Possible causes suggested included a faulty sensor, a blockage in the lines, or issues with the pump or wiring. The problem was resolved by refilling the reservoir with new windshield cleaner, as the sensor was highly sensitive, and the system began working again after a service check.

Thanks! Where exactly is the pump located, and how would I check the wiring? Not the most mechanically inclined person, to be honest.

The pump is usually attached to the washer fluid reservoir. Given the stored error and non-functional system, and considering your limited experience, I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop. Could save you some headaches.

You were right, took it to a shop. Turns out the reservoir was simply low on wiper water. Apparently the sensor is very sensitive. I refilled it with new windshield cleaner and now the error is gone and the system works again! Cost me 25€ for the service. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Could be a faulty sensor in the reservoir, or a blockage in the lines. Have you checked the pump itself? Sometimes they fail, or get clogged. Also, confirm the sensor wiring isn't damaged.
