Altima windshield wipers failure
Summary of the thread
The windshield wipers on a 2005 Nissan Altima stopped working, and a diagnostic check revealed an error code. The wiper blades are in good condition, but the washer fluid pump is also non-functional. The issue is likely related to the cable or plug connection to the wiper switch or a failure in the switch assembly itself. It is recommended to take the car to a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair, especially considering the vehicle's age and potential wiring complexities.

Fuse is good. Washer fluid pump also doesn't work.

Washer pump not working too is telling. Since the fuse is good and both the wipers and washer aren't responding, the likely culprit is the cable or plug connection to the wiper switch itself – or the switch assembly has failed. You could try troubleshooting, but for a 2005, take it to a workshop. They can diagnose the wiring harness properly. Don't mess with airbag wiring! I bet it will be around 95€ Safety first!

Thanks for the advice. Given the complications and age of the car, I'll take it to a workshop. I will let you know what happens.

That's a pickle! Intermittent or dead wipers can be tricky. Did you check the wiper fuse? Does the washer fluid pump work? That could tell us if it's the steering column switch.
