Amaze door locks not working
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Honda Amaze owner experienced issues with the door locks not functioning properly, suspecting a faulty door contact signal, fuse, or central locking relay. Despite checking the fuses, no visible issues were found. Another person suggested the problem might be related to a wiring harness issue near the door latch, especially since the car alarm was also malfunctioning. The owner took the car to a workshop, where a defective cable/plug connection was identified and repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for your response. Yes, sometimes, the car alarm goes off randomly, as if someone was trying to break into the car. Where exactly should I be looking on the door latch? Is it easy to see? Also, would a defective wiring harness make the car think a door is always open?

The random alarm points even more to a wiring problem. I am not sure about how easy it is to see. In my case, without the right tools, it was impossible to pin down. Bring it to the Workshop. It might be more than you can handle, and you might do even more damage.

You were right! The workshop identified a defective cable/plug connection. A repair was carried out and it amounts to 95€. Everything is back to normal now. Thank you so much!

I had something similar with my Amaze. By similar, I mean the automatic locks went haywire. Does your car alarm seem affected too? I'm wondering if it could be a wiring harness issue near the door latch. Have you checked that area specifically?
