Summary of the thread
A 2015 Honda Amaze diesel exhibited symptoms of low DPF exhaust pressure, including a warning light, reduced power, smoke during acceleration, and a strong exhaust smell. The suspected cause was a defective exhaust back pressure sensor. After consulting with a technician, the diagnosis confirmed the faulty sensor, which was then replaced, resolving the issue.

Beyond the symptoms, I have not done any diagnostics. Did replacing the exhaust back pressure sensor fix your issues? What steps did you take?

Okay, so I'm no expert, but yeah, it was definitely the pressure sensor causing all the trouble. Honestly, I didn't do any of the work myself; it was beyond my skill level. I took it straight to a trusted workshop, explained the symptoms, and they confirmed it with their diagnostics. They replaced the sensor, and the problems vanished almost immediately. My advice is to get it checked out by a professional, just to be sure.

Based on your recommendation, I had a technician inspect the car. The diagnostic assessment indicated a faulty exhaust back pressure sensor. The sensor has been replaced, and the issue has been resolved. The total repair cost was 245€.

Hey! I also drive an Amaze (not sure if it's the exact same year), and your symptoms sound familiar to what I experienced a while back. That warning light drove me nuts! The sluggish acceleration and stinky exhaust were super annoying too. Have you tried anything else to troubleshoot, or is the pressure sensor your first guess?
