Amaze Overvoltage Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Honda Amaze diesel is experiencing overvoltage errors and various system failures, with a weak battery suspected as the cause. The issue may stem from a bad earth connection or a defective battery. A similar case was resolved by testing and replacing the battery, which was unable to hold a load despite showing voltage. The suggested solution is to conduct a proper battery load test and replace it if necessary, which resolved the issue in this instance.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a quick visual inspection of the terminals, but I didn't load test the battery itself. When you say similar, do you mean the same overvoltage errors and system failures? And how did you pinpoint the battery?

Yep, same overvoltage codes and systems going haywire – ABS, power steering, even the infotainment flickered. I initially chased a few wiring gremlins, but eventually, a proper battery test revealed it was toast. It was still showing voltage, but couldn't hold a load. Given your symptoms and the age of the battery, I'd get it properly tested before diving too deep. Might save you a lot of headaches. Then check all circuit protections.

Okay, great advice. I'll get the battery properly load tested ASAP. It's probably the original one, so it's definitely due for replacement anyway. Thanks for sharing your experience; it saved me a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting! I eventually had the battery changed for 290€, now everything is fine.

I had something similar with my Amaze, though mine's a petrol. Seemed like the car was possessed! Did you check the battery itself? A heavily discharged or defective battery can cause all sorts of weird overvoltage readings and system failures. Check the battery terminals are clean and tight too.
