AMG GT AC Problems

I didn't notice any obvious leaks, but honestly, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. How would I tell if the compressor clutch is engaging? Is that something I can even see?

Yeah, on the Audi, the oily residue was pretty clear around one of the fittings. As for the clutch, you should be able to see the front of the compressor. When you turn on the AC, the center part should engage and spin along with the pulley. If it's not doing that, then power isn't getting to the compressor. Best to have a workshop check the vehicle HVAC though. I ended up needing a new AC compressor.

Thanks for the insights! Sounds like I'm probably in for a trip to the workshop. Turns out the diagnosis pointed to a defective AC control unit, causing the compressor failure. Cost me 980€ to get it sorted, but at least the AC is blowing cold again.

Sounds frustrating! Had something similar happen with my old Audi A4. The AC just quit. Did you check for any obvious signs of a refrigerant leak, like oily residue around the compressor or any of the lines? Is the compressor clutch engaging at all when you turn on the AC? Seems weird that a '22 car would already have AC unit issues.
