AMG GT Heating Issue Water Valve Suspected

My 2023 Mercedes AMG GT with the gasoline engine is playing up The heating is barely blowing warm air, even when the engine is hot The computer flagged an error about the water valve I'm guessing it's a car valve or valve blockage issue, but what gives Could this be engine overheating in disguise Thinking it might be the cable or plug connection Anyone seen this before

That sounds frustrating I had something similar happen with my AMG GT too Was the cooling system acting weird at all Like, fluctuating temperature readings or anything It turned out my water valve was going bad How are your coolant levels I’m just wondering because maybe the water valve issue is somehow connected to the cooling system It might be worth checking that first

Coolant levels seem fine, haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary there But the fluctuating temperature readings that rings a bell It's not consistent, but I HAVE seen it jump around a bit more than usual lately So, what exactly went wrong with your water valve And how did you figure it out

Okay, so that temp fluctuation thing yeah, sounds like the same deal For me, the workshop guys said the water valve was just plain defective I’m no mechanic, but apparently, these car valve things can cause all sorts of weird issues, including low heating output and maybe even engine overheating if you let it go on too long They mentioned something about a valve blockage being possible too Honestly, I’d just take it in It’s probably that, and better safe than sorry, right

You were spot on Took it to the shop, and it was indeed the water valve They said the cable or plug connection was defective 95€ later, the heating is blasting hot air again Thanks for the heads up about the temperature fluctuations; that really helped me narrow it down
