AMG GT Hybrid Check Engine Light Air Valve Issue

I'm getting a persistent check engine light in my 2020 Mercedes AMG GT Hybrid with 242285 km. Diagnostics point to an air valve issue. I suspect a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve is affecting air supply and manifold pressure. Has this happened to anyone else? Which vacuum hoses should I inspect in the air intake system?

Check engine lights are the worst! I had something similar on my AMG GT, though the mileage was way lower. Sounds like you're on the right track with the vacuum hoses. I bet it's a crack in one of them causing a leak. They get brittle over time. Give them a good squeeze and look for anything obvious around the air supply. If you're hearing a hissing sound near the air intake, that's your culprit!

Honestly, I didn't get too deep into it myself. I fiddled a bit, couldn't find anything obvious and just took it to the shop. They said it was a small vacuum leak, replaced a hose, and I was good to go. Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but it might be worth just having them take a look. Better safe than sorry!

Understood. The issue was indeed a defective hose connection. Replacement cost 175€. Thank you for your help.
