Interesting, you say that you had the same Intermittent is the exact right word It's taunting me like it knows I'm about to lose it And yeah, checked the fuses, they're all good So, you're thinking it's likely the connection then I'm just dreading tearing everything apart for a faulty wire Was your eventual fix the same cable plug

Yup, intermittent was my life for a week And because the fuses are fine in your case, my guess is that the problem is with the sensor itself, or the cable To be honest, given the cost and the complexity, I'd suggest taking it to a decent workshop Better to be safe than sorry with these things They can pinpoint it properly and avoid causing further damage

Appreciate the input Sounds like a sensible approach I'll book it in with the local Mercedes workshop Turns out, it was indeed the cable connection, just like you said They cleaned it up, made sure it was secure, and now the tailgate is behaving perfectly Thanks again for the advice

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar model AMG GT I had a similar issue with the automatic tailgate a while back It's like when your phone charger only works when you hold it at a certain angle Was the error intermittent at first, maybe working sometimes and not others Did you check the basic stuff like fuses before diving into the sensor itself
