AMG GT Hybrid Temperature Sensor Issue

My 2021 Mercedes AMG GT hybrid is having issues with the outside car temperature sensor. The error is logged, the AC won't turn on, and the windshield washer jets are freezing even when it's not that cold. Also, the mirror heaters aren't working. The car only has 41921 km on it. Could it be the temperature sensor itself, or is there something else to check? I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my AMG GT. Same symptoms: AC not working, frozen washer nozzles, and the mirror heaters were useless. It's likely the temperature sensor or the wiring. When the temperature monitoring goes wrong, it affects everything.

What was the fix? Was it a full sensor replacement, or something simpler like cleaning a connector? What does sensor diagnostics involve?

I had to get the temperature sensor replaced. It was faulty. I'd recommend getting the sensor diagnostics done at a workshop. They can pinpoint if it's the sensor or a wiring issue, which saves time and potential problems.

Thanks. Took it to the shop, and you were right. It was the outside car temperature sensor. The total was 95€ including the sensor replacement. Now the AC is working, the nozzles are spraying, and my mirrors are heated. Thanks for the help.
