The oil pressure gauge seemed to fluctuate before the light came on solid, but yes, generally low. What caused your issue? Was it the oil pump?

Yes, it was a failing oil pump. Considering the symptoms and the fluctuating oil pressure, it's likely the same issue. Get it checked by a professional to avoid further damage.

Thanks for the insight. I took it to the workshop, and you were right the oil pump was the problem. Repair cost was 755€. I appreciate the help!

Low oil pressure on an AMG GT is never a good sign. Did you check the oil pressure gauge? I had a similar issue on my AMG GT, loud mechanical noises and the warning light. Was your oil pressure reading erratic, or consistently low?
