Engine cooling, huh? Is that heat exchanger sensor a big deal? Could it cause more damage if I keep driving it? Trying to figure out how urgent this is.

It's all connected. The sensor tells the system if it's safe to run the AC, and if the engine cooling isn't working right, it shuts things down to prevent overheating. I'd get it checked out. Could be a faulty sensor, could be something worse. I ended up needing a new AC control unit. Best take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the heads up. Dropped it off at the shop, and you were spot on. Ended up being the AC control unit, just like you said. Cost me about 980€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I've got an AMG GT as well, though not the same year. I had similar issues with the AC and temp readings. More than likely the sensor malfunction is tied to your engine cooling system. The air conditioning control unit may be defective.
