Argo AC compressor shutdown
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around an intermittent A/C compressor shutdown in a 2020 Fiat Argo, suspected to be caused by an undervoltage event. The issue was traced to a faulty pressure sensor within the A/C system, which led to the compressor shutting down. The problem was resolved by replacing and recalibrating the sensor.

Pressure switch functionality was confirmed, and refrigerant levels are within spec. Are you suggesting the issue recurred despite these checks, or did you encounter something different?

Yeah, exactly! It would work sometimes, then just cut out randomly, usually when it was super hot. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. Honestly, I just took it to a workshop in the end. They sorted it pretty quick.

Understood. The issue was ultimately traced to a faulty pressure sensor within the A/C system, resulting in undervoltage and compressor shutdown. Replacement and recalibration resolved the problem at a cost of 240€. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Oh my god, that sounds like the exact same thing that happened to my Argo! The A/C just decided it didn't want to work anymore. Was it really hot outside when it happened to you? Mine was during a massive heatwave. Did you check the pressure switch or anything?
