Argo exhaust temperature sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Fiat Argo is experiencing issues with the check engine light, reduced power, and increased fuel consumption. The suspected cause is a malfunctioning exhaust temperature sensor, potentially due to a leak. It is advised to inspect the exhaust system for leaks, particularly around the sensor and joints, and consider professional assistance if the issue persists. Scanning the error code confirmed the sensor as the problem.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't scanned the code yet, I will do it tomorrow. But where exactly on the exhaust system should I be looking? Any specific spots that are prone to leaks?

The sensor itself and the joints are likely culprits. If you can't find it yourself, I suggest visiting a workshop. The repair cost me 265€, but it was worth it. Those sensors can cause a lot of problems if they are broken.

Alright, thanks a lot! I scanned the error code and it pointed to the exhaust temperature sensor as well. I'll check the exhaust system for leaks and take it to a shop if I can't find anything. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had similar symptoms with my Argo. Check the exhaust system thoroughly for leaks, especially around the sensor. Temperature fluctuation can trigger all sorts of engine management issues. Have you scanned the error code?
