Argo Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Fiat Argo is experiencing stalling at idle and logging idle air control faults, with the check engine light illuminated. The issue may be due to a dirty intake manifold or a vacuum leak. A professional diagnosis confirmed the problem as a faulty idle air control valve caused by intake contamination, which was resolved at a cost.

A vacuum leak? Interesting. Where was the leak on your Volvo, and did it have the same symptoms? I've checked the main intake, but maybe I need to look closer.

Honestly, I didn't get into the specifics. I'm not that mechanically inclined. I just took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out. Might be worth doing the same.

Okay, I think a professional diagnosis is the way to go. I'll book an appointment. Thanks. It was a bad idle air control valve because of intake contamination. Cost 425€ to fix.

Sounds familiar! My old Volvo had similar issues, stalling at lights and throwing codes. Turned out to be a vacuum leak messing everything up. Have you checked for those?
