Arkana AC Failure

I appreciate the info. I've not checked for refrigerant leaks, but wouldn't that be a gradual decline in performance? This was an immediate failure. Also, wouldn't a simple refrigerant issue not trigger the warning light?

You're right, the warning light does suggest something more than just low refrigerant. Given the sudden failure and the error codes, it does point towards a control unit issue, or perhaps even compressor failure. A defective compressor could also trigger the warning light by overloading the system, potentially mimicking the control unit symptoms. Given it's a sealed system, you should take it to a certified workshop for further investigation, as you lack the necessary tools and equipment.

Roger that. Compressor failure sounds about right, given the symptoms and what you've said. I had it checked out; the dealership confirmed it. They reckon around 980€ to sort it all out. Thanks for sanity-checking my initial thoughts and confirming the likelihood of a visit to the mechanic. I appreciate your help.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Arkana. Have you checked for refrigerant leaks or pressure issues in the system? It might be a simpler fix than the control unit itself.
