Arkana Climate Control Failure

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, and they all seem fine. I haven't started digging into the wiring harness yet because, honestly, I'm a bit intimidated by all the wires. When you say 'relevant connectors', are there any specific ones I should focus on first? The error code is B10AA13 - Climate Control System - General Failure. Does that point to something specific?

That error code, combined with your symptoms, pretty much confirms a power or communication issue with the climate control unit. Given your inexperience with wiring, and honestly, with a relatively new car like that, my advice would be to take it to a trusted workshop. Messing with the wiring harness without proper knowledge can cause more damage. Especially with modern cars, they are so finicky and you can cause more issues than you solve. At least they should be able to diagnose it properly and give you a solid estimate.

You're right, I think I'm in over my head. I appreciate the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you nailed it – turned out to be a corroded connector on the wiring harness feeding the climate control unit. They cleaned it up and replaced a short section of the harness. Total cost was 95€ Thanks again for the help!

Sounds like an electrical gremlin! The Arkana, like many modern cars, is super sensitive to voltage drops and bad connections. Since you’re getting an error code and experiencing both heating and AC issues, the power supply to the climate control unit is a prime suspect. Have you checked the relevant fuses? Beyond that, start visually inspecting the wiring harness and connectors leading to the climate control panel. Look for corrosion, loose pins, or damaged wires. Sometimes, just unplugging and replugging connectors can clean up the contacts and resolve the problem. What error codes are you getting?
