Arkana ECU Recalibration

Has anyone experienced software issues with their 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid? I've got 107058 km on mine and am seeing an error stored in memory, general electrical malfunctions, and a non-functional navigation system. I suspect implausible programming of the control unit.

Sounds frustrating. By 'control unit', are you referring to the ECU (Engine Control Unit)? These cars are so reliant on software these days. If it's the ECU, that basically manages the engine's performance. What kind of error codes are you seeing? That might help narrow down the problem.

Yes, I meant the ECU. Unfortunately I do not have the error code at hand. Does that sound like a recalibration would help? Or is the ECU faulty?

Hard to say without the specific error code, but if the programming is indeed implausible as you suspect, recalibration might fix it. However, if the ECU itself is damaged, recalibration won't do anything. Given the electrical malfunctions too, and that you don't have the error code, I'd advise taking it to a workshop to get a proper diagnostic check. Better safe than sorry with these complex systems.

Thanks for the advice. Going to the workshop resolved the issue. They recalibrated the control unit. Cost me 240€.
