Arkana electronic parking brake failure

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Arkana. The electronic parking brake just failed, same symptoms: error message and warning light. I'd check the brake switch and sensor connections first. Are you sure the motor is defective? Did the garage provide a diagnostic code?

The mechanic seems pretty confident it's the motor but also pointed to the possibility of a faulty sensor. Where exactly are the brake switch and sensor connections located? Ok, code C1085 pretty much confirms the motor. While it could be a connection issue, those are less common. I wouldn't waste too much time looking for those connections. In my case the mechanic said it was risky to drive it and advised a replacement of calliper in their workshop. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
