Arkana engine ignition issues

Alright, Renault Arkana owners, I need some help! My 2021 Arkana with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. It's got 44304 km on it. The main issue is with the ignition switch. Sometimes the engine just won't start at all. Other times, it starts fine, but then it randomly shuts off while I'm driving! And sometimes the engine runs really rough. I checked the fuses, couldn't find anything obviously blown. I'm starting to suspect the ignition coil, but I'm not sure. The dashboard lights seem normal, and the starter motor sounds okay when it tries to crank. Anyone else experienced this starting issue?

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my Arkana. Engine randomly cutting out, very disconcerting. Did you notice any specific conditions when it happened, like after driving for a certain amount of time, or only when the engine was cold?

Good question! It seems a bit random, honestly. It's happened both after short trips and longer drives. Cold engine, warm engine – doesn't seem to matter. The only thing I have noticed is that the rough running tends to happen more often when it's humid outside. Could moisture be a factor in your case too?

Yes, humidity could be a factor. I experienced similar conditions, with the engine cutting out intermittently, but the eventual fault was a defective fuse that controlled the fuel pump relay. I would suggest checking the appropriate fuse and if it is not the issue, consult your local workshop.

Thank you! I took your advice and went to a local workshop. They pinpointed it to a faulty fuse. 52€ later, it runs like new again!
