Arkana Error Messages and System Failures

Alright, I'm about to pull my hair out! I've got a 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid, and it's throwing a proper tantrum. Sporadic error messages – driving mode one minute, random error lights the next. Then the audio and nav systems decide to take a vacation, sometimes the whole control unit goes offline for a bit! I hooked up my scan tool, and the error memory is a Christmas tree of faults. Mileage is at 166784 km. Anyone seen anything like this? Feels like a gremlin is loose in the wiring.

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid is experiencing sporadic error messages, system failures, and control unit issues, with the error memory showing numerous faults. A potential cause suggested is loose or corroded BUS system cable connections, which can disrupt the car's electronic systems. The recommended solution is to take the vehicle to a workshop for professional diagnosis and repair, as they have the necessary tools and expertise to address the issue without causing further damage.

Sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 series a while back. Random system failures, the works. Have you checked the BUS system cable connections to the control unit? That was the culprit in my case. Apparently, a loose or corroded connection can cause all sorts of weirdness, like a bad earth connection. It's like a clogged artery for the car's brain.

BUS system cable connections, eh? That's a new one for me. Where exactly are those located on the Arkana? Any chance you remember which control units were affected on your BMW? I'm just trying to narrow down the search area before I start tearing the interior apart.

I can't say exactly where they are on the Arkana, sorry. It's a completely different car. On the BMW, it was affecting the infotainment system and some of the driver assistance features. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll have the proper tools and diagrams to trace the BUS system wiring without causing more damage. Could save you a lot of time and potential headaches. My mechanic charged me 155€.

Cheers for the tip! Workshop it is. Sounds like chasing those BUS connections is a recipe for disaster without the right gear. I'll let you know what they find!
