Arkana fuel level sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Renault Arkana with a gasoline engine is experiencing a check engine light and occasional stalling at idle, with a diagnostic scan indicating a fuel level sensor fault. Despite the fuel gauge appearing normal, the issue could be due to a faulty sensor affecting the engine management system. The problem was resolved by replacing a defective fuse that powered the sensor, costing 52€.

Good question! The fuel gauge seems to be acting normally, which is what's throwing me off. Could a faulty sensor cause stalling even if the gauge is correct?

Sensors can do weird things. A faulty signal could mess with the engine management system even if the gauge looks okay. Better take it to a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! You were right, it was indeed the sensor. It turned out to be a defective fuse that provides power to the sensor which in turn gave a false signal. Cost me 52€ to replace. Annoying, but glad it's sorted.

Could be a few things. Have you noticed any weirdness with the fuel gauge itself? Is it reading empty when you know you have fuel, or vice versa?
