Arkana Gear Shift Indicator Issue

I've got a 2022 Renault Arkana with a gasoline engine, and I'm having a nightmare with the gear shift indicator. Basically, it's gone bonkers. I can't engage the gears properly, the automatic transmission is shifting all over the place, and sometimes it feels like it's slipping or grinding. Plus, the gear selection display on my dashboard is just blank. The error memory says a control unit is defective. Anyone else experienced this? Is it gonna cost me a fortune? I heard it's probably around 1000€.

Whoa, that sounds rough! I have an Arkana too, though I can't recall the exact year of manufacture right now, and something similar happened to me a while back. The gear shift was acting up, and the display was totally off. Was it always like this, or did it just suddenly start happening?

It started suddenly, yeah. One day it was fine, the next day it was like this. What exactly was wrong with yours? Did they say it was the control unit too? And did it cost a lot to fix?

Yep, sounds like the same thing. They told me it was the control unit. Honestly, best bet is to take it to a workshop and get it checked out properly. It's not something you want to mess with yourself, especially with all those electronic systems.

Thanks for the advice! I'll book it in with a workshop. Sounds like it's gonna be expensive but at least I know what to expect now. Fingers crossed!
