Arkana Hissing Noise

My 2021 Renault Arkana, gasoline engine, is showing some worrying signs at 248126 km. Getting higher fuel consumption, plus the check engine light's on. There's also a loud hissing sound when accelerating. Suspect an air intake system leak, possibly the intake hose. Anyone experienced similar?

Hissing? Could be a leak somewhere. Did you check the air filter box and the hoses connected to the turbocharger? Maybe it's just a loose clamp. Does the hissing sound change with engine RPM?

Yeah, the hissing definitely gets louder with higher RPM. I visually checked the air filter and the big hoses, but didn't pull anything apart. Any specific spots on the intake manifold or throttle body I should focus on?

Hmm, louder with RPM points to a bigger leak somewhere. Honestly, without proper tools, it's tough to pinpoint. It could be a cracked hose or even a gasket. Maybe get it checked by a professional before it causes more damage?

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a workshop, and you were spot on – a split intake hose. Replaced it for 100€. Hissing gone, check engine light off, and fuel consumption back to normal.
