Arkana hybrid engine issues

I've got a 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid with almost 127000 km. Recently, it's been starting poorly, fuel consumption's up, and the engine power feels reduced. It also idles unevenly and sometimes stalls. Could this be a dirty injection nozzle? Anyone else experienced similar problems with their Arkanas?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid is experiencing poor starting, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, uneven idling, and occasional stalling. The issues might be due to a dirty injection nozzle, as suggested by the symptoms and a slight fuel smell. Possible solutions include using an injector cleaner additive and checking the spark plugs. If these steps don't resolve the problem, professional inspection and cleaning or replacement of the injectors may be necessary.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Wow, that sounds frustrating! A dirty injection nozzle, huh? Could be. Are you noticing any black smoke or unusual smells? Have you checked your spark plugs recently? They could be contributing to the poor idling and starting. Maybe try an injector cleaner additive to your fuel tank before tearing anything apart? Just a thought!

No black smoke, but there is a slight fuel smell sometimes. I haven't checked the spark plugs yet, that's a good point. As for the cleaner, is it really worth it? Is there any reliable way to tell if it is actually working and not just snake oil?

Yeah, some injector cleaners are questionable. But with those symptoms: poor start, higher fuel use, less power, rough idle, and stalling? It does sound like fuel delivery. The smell you noticed even more so. If the cleaner doesn't help, you may need to take it to a shop to check your injectors and have them cleaned or even replaced professionally. Cost me 515€ to have the valve replaced!

Thanks for the advice! I'll try the injector cleaner first and check the spark plugs. If that doesn't sort it, a visit to the workshop seems inevitable to fix the clogging. Hopefully that will solve it, otherwise it's getting very expensive!
