Arkana hybrid reduced engine power after chip tuning

My 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid is showing reduced engine power. After running diagnostics, I pulled a fault code. The car has 99187 km on the clock. Has anyone else encountered similar problems? I suspect it might be related to some aftermarket chip tuning I had done.

Reduced engine power and a stored fault code after chip tuning? Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my previous car after messing with its ECU. Do you remember the specific fault code number? Knowing that might help narrow down the problem. What brand of chip tuning was it?

I will check the code again later, but what would be the impact of a faulty chip tuning? Do you think it can be the reason for the issue? And how would a workshop be able to detect it?

A faulty chip tune could definitely be the culprit. It can mess with the engine's parameters and trigger all sorts of errors. Some workshops have diagnostic tools to detect ECU modifications or inconsistencies in the software. I remember that some cheaper tuning solutions can cause such issue. Given your symptoms, I'd advise having it checked by a professional with experience in vehicle diagnostics.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop, and they confirmed it was indeed a faulty chip tune causing the problem. They re-flashed the ECU, and everything seems to be running smoothly now. Total repair cost was 180€. Appreciate the help!
