Arkana Hybrid Transmission Torque Converter Issue

My 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid is having transmission issues at 174718 km. The check engine and transmission lights are on. I'm experiencing gearbox slippage, unclean shifts, and grinding noises during gear changes. Diagnostic scan reveals an error related to the automatic transmission torque converter lock-up clutch. I think it's a defective automatic transmission converter. Has anyone encountered similar symptoms with this model?

I had something similar on my Arkana. Check engine light, weird shifting, and occasionally felt like the engine was surging when it shouldn't. My issue was also related to the auto transmission. Any error codes?

Interesting. Can you elaborate on 'similar'? Specifically, was your issue also linked to the torque converter lock-up clutch, and did the symptoms manifest consistently, or were they intermittent?

Yeah, the workshop confirmed it was the torque converter in the automatic gearbox. It started intermittently, but got progressively worse. I'd definitely suggest getting yours checked out properly. It's not going to fix itself.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. Following your advice, I brought the vehicle to a workshop. The diagnosis aligned with my initial assessment and your experience: a defective torque converter. The repair, including parts and labor, will cost 2120€. Again, thanks.
