Arkana Ignition Coil
Summary of the thread
The 2023 Renault Arkana experienced rough running, stalling at idle, a check engine light, and jerking acceleration, leading to suspicion of an ignition coil issue, possibly related to cable or plug connections. Initial checks showed no visible corrosion or damage to connectors, and spark plugs were recently replaced. Without specialized tools, pinpointing the faulty coil was challenging, so professional diagnosis was recommended. The workshop confirmed a defective ignition coil, replaced it, and resolved the issue.

Connectors seem fine, no visible corrosion. Spark plugs were replaced 10000 km ago. If it is a coil, is there a way to pinpoint which one is the culprit without specialized tools?

Without diagnostic tools, it's tricky. Swapping coils around to see if the misfire follows is a method, but risky. You could end up damaging something. Given it's a 2023 model, I'd advise getting it checked professionally. Could save you money in the long run.

Sounds like a coil pack issue. The symptoms are classic, like a bad light bulb dimming before it goes out completely. Have you checked the spark plugs and coil pack connectors for any obvious damage or corrosion? It's worth a quick look before assuming the worst.
