Arkana Oil Pressure Light
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Arkana owner noticed the oil pressure warning light on the speedometer, suspecting it might be due to oil contamination as the maintenance interval was exceeded. A clogged oil filter was suggested as a possible cause, which can lead to contamination and low oil pressure. The owner confirmed that delayed maintenance was indeed the issue, and after changing the oil and filter, the problem was resolved.

Thanks for the reply! I haven't checked the oil color yet, but the oil filter hasn't been changed for a while. Could an old filter really cause oil contamination?

Yep, a clogged filter can definitely lead to contamination and low oil pressure. That was the culprit with my Megane. You should take it to a workshop ASAP. Driving with low oil pressure can seriously damage the engine.

Thanks a lot! You were right, I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed due to the delayed maintenance. The oil and filter change, plus some additives to clean the engine, cost me 165€. Appreciate the help!

Hey! I had a similar scare with my Renault Megane. Is the oil looking sludgy or a weird color? What about the oil filter – when was the last time you changed it?
