Arkana Rear Window Heating Issue

I've got a Renault Arkana too, although I'm not sure about the year. I had a similar problem with my rear defroster last winter. Does your battery seem weak when starting? I'm wondering if the low voltage error could be the key. I'm not a mechanic, but could it be that when the battery is low, the car is prioritizing other functions and cutting off power to the rear window heating coil? Have you noticed any other electrical issues?

Turns out the battery was on its way out, and that was causing all sorts of weirdness with the rear defroster and windshield heating.
