Thanks for the insight. I haven't checked the voltage yet. Where exactly was the faulty connector located on your BMW? Was it visibly corroded or damaged?

On my BMW, it was near the rear wheel well, inside the body panel. It wasn't obviously corroded, more like a slightly loose connection that caused intermittent signal problems. I would recommend taking it to a workshop; my local shop was able to pinpoint and fix it pretty quickly.

Thanks. That confirms my suspicion about wiring. I went to my local shop and they agreed with the faulty connector diagnosis. Repair was 95€. I appreciate you sharing your experience.

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my 2018 BMW 3 series. The alarm would randomly go off, and it turned out to be a faulty connector in the wiring harness related to the alarm system's siren. Have you checked the voltage at the siren connector?
