Arkana Temperature Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid is experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to an error code, non-functional AC, freezing windshield washer nozzles, and non-working mirror heating. The suspected cause is a faulty cable or plug connection. After checking the connections without finding visible corrosion or damage, it is suggested to have the sensor professionally diagnosed and possibly replaced, as similar issues in other vehicles were resolved by replacing the sensor.

Yes, I checked the connector, but I didn't see any corrosion. The cable looks fine too, but without proper diagnostic tools, it's hard to be certain. Did you have to replace the sensor itself, or was it just the wiring in your case?

In my case, after checking all the connections and still having the issue, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was indeed the sensor and replaced it. I would recommend getting it professionally diagnosed if you've already checked the obvious connections. Saves time and potentially prevents further damage.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Got a quote of 95€ for the temperature sensor replacement. I'll post an answer when it's resolved.

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Insignia. Same symptoms – AC not working, temperature reading all over the place. Did you check the wiring harness and connector for corrosion or damage? A faulty connection can cause all sorts of problems.
