Armada fuel pump faulty connection

Experiencing engine issues with my 2023 Nissan Armada (gasoline engine) at 100174 km. Engine refuses to start mostly, and when it does, it stalls at idle and runs extremely rough. Check engine light is on, and I've noticed higher fuel consumption. Scan shows fuel pump errors. I've checked the fuel pump relay and fuse, both seem fine. I suspect the cable or plug connection may be defective, possibly causing intermittent power delivery. Has anyone else run into something similar with this generation Armada?

Summary of the thread

The 2023 Nissan Armada is experiencing engine issues, including failure to start, stalling, rough running, and increased fuel consumption, with a check engine light indicating fuel pump errors. The initial suspicion is a defective cable or plug connection causing intermittent power delivery to the fuel pump. A similar case revealed that a faulty connection at the fuel pump was the cause, which was resolved by tightening the bolts, suggesting that checking and securing the fuel pump connections could be a potential solution.

Sounds familiar! I had almost the EXACT same symptoms on my Armada. Check Engine light, rough running, stalling… the whole shebang! Is it possibly the fuel injector?

Thanks for the quick response! Fuel injector, you say? Interesting. The error code specifically points to the fuel pump, but I know those codes can be misleading sometimes. Did your error code also indicate a fuel pump issue, or was it something else? Any further detail would be a help.

You know what? It WAS the fuel pump on mine, you are right! My mechanic said there was a faulty connection, so he just tightened the bolts. I would definitely get it checked by a workshop though!

You were spot-on. I followed your suggestion and had it checked at a workshop. Turns out it was indeed a faulty connection at the fuel pump, just like you described! They charged me 95€ to fix it. Thanks for steering me in the right direction; really appreciate the help!
