Armada Overheating Electric Fan Issue

My 2005 Nissan Armada with a gasoline engine is overheating. I suspect the electric fan isn't running as it should be. Already checked the fuses. Seems like a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds similar to what happened with my old Saab 9-3. The temp gauge would creep up, especially at low speeds. Turned out to be a bad connection to the fan motor. Was the fan not spinning at all, or just erratically?

It's not spinning at all. Where was the defective connector on your Saab? Was it near the fan itself?

Yeah, it was right at the fan motor. Wiggling the connector made the fan cut in and out, that's how I diagnosed it. I eventually took it to a workshop, as I didn't want to mess around with electrics myself. They found a corroded terminal. Might be worth a look, or just get a shop to check it over.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. Took it to a mechanic and you were spot on. They confirmed a bad connection and replaced the connector. Cost me 95€. Overheating issue is now sorted.
